Should students use mobile technology in the classroom?

Thesis Statement: Even though opponents argue that students should not be allowed to use mobile technology in the classroom mobile technology should be allowed in the classroom because mobile technology makes easier to note taking, helps understanding; and instructors have to offer best studying environment for students.

Topic Sentences1. The first reason that mobile technology should be allowed to use in the classroom is that mobile technology helps students’ note taking.

Counter Argument: On the other hand, some people claim that mobile technology should not be allowed to use in the classroom. First of all, opponents think using mobile technology in the classroom causes cheating. They insist students use their smart phone for looking up answers on a phone in the class, texting for answers within the class, texting for answers outside of the class, or capturing a picture of the test for others during the examination; however, it can be prevented by collecting the mobile technology during the test time. When instructors and students make rules of submitting all of mobile technologies for the examination, cheating worries will be solved. 

Room For Debate - PEDs

Some people say that taking PEDs should be banned, but other people claim that we should be permitted PEDs to athletes. If we are not permitted PEDs, honest athletes can be disadvantaged. As Savulescu(2012) states, "Honest athletes don't have access to safe enhancement methods."(para.4). Even though PEDs are illegal, some of athletes take it secretly, and it's really unfair for other competitors. However, this doesn't indicate that PEDs should be permitted. On the other hand, Goodman(2012) states, "In competitive sports, every participant should have an equal chance of success."(para.3). This means that we have to be banned PEDs strictly, and we must offer same situations to all athletes. It is reasonable that many people are worried about fair of sports; nevertheless, this idea should be regarded as various aspects.

Expatriates in India

When they first encounters with life in a culture with a lower economic standard, I think education is the best different thing for them. For example, Korea and Malaysia's education method are different. In Korea, they do many private educations, so even children go to academies all day. And many parents feel afraid and nervous if their children don't go to the academy. However, in Malaysia, I heard that very few people have private education, and most of them depend on public education. Therefore, Korean parents can feel scary, unstable and nervous when they first go to the Malaysia, even if everyone don't take a private education.  For  like this, we can learn some importance of government's role. Malaysia government supports public education, but Korea government makes citizens to do a private education. So, we can learn the significant of government, and how it works well.

Environmental Refugees

Governments should help foreign refugees. Global warming is not the own country's problem. A Handwerk(2004) explains, "There is little doubt that the planet is warming. Over the last century, the average temperature has climbed about 1 degree Fahrenheit(0.6degree Celsius) around the world."(para.2). This shows after a few years, many countries will need other countries' helps. Fortunately, a lot of international organizations want to help the refugees. For example, "For migrants displaced because of the environment, Bangladesh hopes to begin helping them find opportunities in cities other than Dhaka, said Saleemul Huq, a Bangladeshi scientist who is a senior fellow in the climate change group of the International Institute for Environment and Development in London."(Kakissis, 2010, para.18). It is sure that only nongovernment's have some limits which it can't approach. Therefore, It'll more efficient if the governments and international organizations work together. In case of Korea, we received many helps from other countries after the Korea War. For other countries' helps, Korea can stand up and reach some wonderful results like today. In conclusion, it is not one country's problem, we should help and find some practical ways to solve that problem together.

In Environmental Refugees Unable to Return Home by Joanna Kakissis, the writer describes many people from developing countries have to move because there are disasters. The writer explains because of natural disasters, moving to Dhaka, which is the capital, is continual. However, environment of Dhaka is hazardous to live, and easy to be damaged from the global warming. Refugees can't go to school and get some jobs. Therefore, the writer reports that some international organizations want to give some helps with useful ways. At the end, the writer says refugees really want to go back to home.
